I am confused! Are you talking about your modem?

Why would he be talking about his modem if he was asking about the phone
dialer?

I use the phone dialer for my telephone banking, I have the phone number and
password set up so when I want to find out how much money I don't have I
bring it up and use it. 2 clicks of the mouse against all those button
pushes on the phone.

If you plan to use Dialer often: Double click your My Computer desktop
icon, double click the drive where Windows XP is installed, navigate to
Program Files\Windows NT where you'll find the file dialer.exe. Right click
the file dialer.exe, left click Send To/Desktop (create shortcut).DeskLink,
which will put an icon for Dialer on your desktop.

I couldn't find it in my XP pro so did the following.

change 'f' in f:\ to your cdrom drive and run form commend line:

expand f:\i386\dialer.ex_ "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Dialer.exe"
expand f:\i386\AVTAPI.DL_ "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\avtapi.dll"
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\avtapi.dll"
"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Dialer.exe"
cheers

expand f:\i386\dialer.ex_ "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Dialer.exe"
expand f:\i386\AVTAPI.DL_ "C:\Windows\system32\avtapi.dll"
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Windows NT\avtapi.dll"
"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Dialer.exe"
