Philips PCRW804 CD-Burner won't work with XP

I've been having this problem for awhile with my Philips
PCRW804 CD-Burner not working with XP. I did what
Microsoft asked me to do and edited the registry and now
it doesn't work at all! It's been awhile since I've
messed with it and I wanted to start messing with it
again so can anybody help me?! Any help would be
appreciated. I've tried a ASPI (or ASPCI) fix, Firmware
and all that and nothing works. The CD drive won't open
at all either, someone please help me!
