PFN_LIST_CORRUPT BSOD

I am getting the above error frequently (along with
others). I have isolated it to only happening when I have
both RAM slots (i.e. 2 x 256MB) occupied. If I drop back
to 256MB it never happens. Have also determined it is
neither of the RAM cards as either work fine when they
are the only ones used. So it seems that it is only when
running the full complement of slots (2 in this case) I
have the problem. It is DDR2700 RAM on an ASUS MB with a
P4/2.4Ghz CPU. Any ideas??

Do the RAM cards have the same maker? If they are
different this may be the problem.

If you receive this error message randomly, or when you try to start a
program, remove extra memory or have the random access memory (RAM) in
your computer tested. This behavior may occur if you have bad RAM.
Disable all file system filter drivers, such as backup utilities, virus
scanners, or firewall software.
