Personalized Menus?

I think the personalized menus feature is great, but it seems very inconsistent.

Sometimes when I open the programs menu my 'personalized' start menu is shown with most programs hidden. However, there are other times when the programs menu is 'complete' with all programs displayed.

I have a lot of programs installed, & as a result my start menu covers several pages. For this reason being able to simplify it & only see common programs most of the time is fantastic.

So my question is, what mechanism decides when to show the 'personalized' menu, & what decides to show the 'complete' menu as it seems completely random?

This is just a bug in Windows 2000. There is no way you can control this. One Windows 2000 installation I had the program list would never change from showing all.

If yours shows all at times and then some at other times count yourself lucky. Some get show all all the time. The replacement to all will sometimes happen when there is an update; a glitch in the shutdown process; a glitch in the start up process; because it iis the tenth hour on the 21st day; that kind of thing. It's a bug James.
