Personalising Icon for data base shortcut

Hello All

I want all users to create a short cut to a data base on their PC's, however
I want this short cut to automatically default to a particular icon and not
the MS Access icon that is usually seen. Is there a way of doing this via the
data base???

Create you shortcut, then Right-Click on it and choose Properties. Click on
the change icon button and choose the one you want.

I know how to do it that way, however is there a way for Access to do it so
that each user has the same icon without having to right click on
icon.........ETC

You can copy the shortcut file and email it to each user. You can also
create a batch file and have the login script on the network put it on each
user's desktop. And you can include it in an install program.

tools/startup/application icon and browse... put the image on a shared
server and that is it. no need for macros

Sure. Use the AutoFEUpdater. <smile>

I specifically created the Auto FE Updater utility so that I could
make changes to the FE MDE as often as I wanted and be quite confident
that the next time someone went to run the app that it would pull in
the latest version. For more info on the errors or the Auto FE

FE on each PC up to date.
