Loading Access Dbase from shortcut

When I try to run a database from Explorer (shortcut) by double clicking, the
data base defaults to opening in Excel. The Icon shows as the Access icon.
The only way I can open the Data base is to run Access and then open the
respective file. How do I remedy this so that the file will auto launch when
double clicked? Thanks for any help

try right-clicking on a .mdb file in Windows Explorer, and from the shortcut
menu select Open With, then Choose Program. in the Open With dialog, scroll
down until you find Microsoft Office Access and click on it. then put a
checkmark in the box next to "Always use this program to open these files",
and click OK.
