Personal Web banner text alignment

Casey

I started with the Personal Web template and created some
pages. Now I want to change the text in the banner. I know
how to change the text, but not the properties. If I put too
much text in the box, the text runs off the right side long before
it does on the left. I tried to change the font and paragraph
characteristics, like the alignment, but nothing seems to work.
I even looked for a group/ungroup option so I could change just
the text, but no. Any clues?

You have to shorten the title of your page under Navigation View.

Yeah, I deduced that. But why? The text has a starting point
that I would assume could be shoved further to the left. Or I
should be able to reduce the font by one setting. Is that banner
a fixed set of objects? I think this is where you tell me that I
should create my own banner and substitute it in, right? Are
banners created in FP, Word, or something else?

Because that is how the navigation component is design, you have no control
the placement of the text, you can control the font and size by modifying
the theme, then saving it under a new name, removing the current theme and
then applying your new theme.

To make a banner image, you would use a image editing application, then you
un-select the option for the page or web to not use the FP navigation
banners.

Thanks for the follow-up.
