I just upgraded from Word 2003 to Word 2007. How do I get to my
personal templates? When I go to New | Templates, they don't show up
anywhere. Do I need to move them to another folder so that I can get to
them?

Also, in Word 2003 I had a button for a macro that I ran. Any ideas on
how I can locate that macro?

Thanks!

I found out where to move my templates, so now I have access to them.

Now if I could just figure out how to get that macro back.

Hi, Kristie,

When you click Office button - New, what do you see? Here, I see the New
Document window. Along the left, there should be a listing of template
categories--including My templates. That's where your personal templates
reside.

Are you not seeing that? What are you seeing?

It might be in the Add-Ins ribbon tab. If not, and if you still see it in
your list of macros, you can add a Quick Access Toolbar button for it.

Right-click the Quick Access Toolbar and choose Customize... Set Choose
commands from: to Macros. Find the macro in the list shown and click to
select it; the click Add. To choose a button image, click Modify.

I'm having the same problem. After upgrading to 2007 from 2003 when I try to load a New template, under My Templates only "Blank Document" and "NormalEmail" show up. The 1033 and 12 tabs contain items installed by Office 2007. Where did all my custom templates (especially for Word and Excel) go?!

To make matters worse, it's been several weeks since I installed and my backup version has overwritten itself...good grief Microsoft!
