When loging Win2k users into a Domain what travels with the user when they
login at different computers on the same domian.

I.e. if jsmith goes to a computer he doesnt usually use and logs in what
will he maintain in the way of wallpaper, files on the desktop, personal
settings, mapped drives, quicklaunch toolbar, etc.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Andrew

By default, nothing is retained except his permissions. If you wish to allow
the user to access his/her desktop & my docs, etc from any computer on your
network, then you must create a Roaming Profile. Windows Help can show you
how.

Sounds like all you need to do is configure your users to have roaming
profiles. That way, no matter what computer they log into on the domain,
their personal settings will follow them.

I hope this helps.
