Personal Folders vs. Outlook Folders

Debbie

Could someone please tell me how I can combine what is in a users personal
folders vs. outlook folders? When I open a users outlook, the folder view
shows Outlook folders and Personal folders, and there is received mail in
both folders. I need to combine this and the calendar and contacts, but I
can't figure out how to do this. Thanks!

I am not really sure what you mean by "outlook folders". Outlook uses either
Personal Folders (.pst) files or Exchange server for delivery. What version,
mode, and SP level of Outlook are you using? (look in help | about) and what
kind of mail account(s) are you using?

Outlook 2002, SP1 He has two accounts set up, one on our Exchange
Server and one POP account. It appears that he is receiving mail in
both locations. Please view attachments

I see - that just means he has a PST file in his mail profile. Any reason
for this? Mail will be delivered only to the default delivery location
unless he has rules set up. I'd ditch the PST file if possible - use only
Exchange to store mail.

I did delete the .pst file, but when I did, it did not pull the mail from
there to his outlook folders. Is there a way to pull the existing mail in
the .pst files to the exchange folders?

You can import it or drag it. Changing the delivery location to Exchange
won't import/copy/move items already in a PST file. Use File | open |....
open the file, copy/move in what you like, then close the PST file
(right-click on it in the folder list).
