Personal folder - error message pst

I did a stupid thing... I made a personal folder in Outlook 2003 and the pst
file was corupt so I deleted it. I can not close the folder now and want it
off the list.
How do I remove it?

Thank you for the link, but my folder is not a duplicate folder I tryed to
make a new folder from a pst I recieved from another person who is leaving
her job.
I get the message "Operation failed An object could not be found"
Any other suggestions?

This morning I did another backup of my regular personal folder in case
somthing happens. when I went into the mail applet it does show only one
personal folder that the correct one.
?

Sorry I did not complete the last sentence:
The personal folder I found in the mail applet was the correct folder I
need. It does not reference the folder I can not close.
Suggestions?
