perpetual pings

I'll occasionally lose my internet connection and when that happens, I
ping, periodically, google.com, to see if it's back up. Instead of
having to redo it by hand every 30 seconds or so, though, it'd be
convenient if ping could just sorta loop perpetually, until it actually
does ping something.

Is there a way to do this? Maybe some command line option or some
batch file?

It'd be nice if maybe it could beep, too, when the internet connection
is back up...

I'd use PingPlotter; it's free, easy to use, and easy to watch.
