Permitted Files in WD

In reviewing my WD history I have come across 6 unknown programs that have
been "Permitted" that I didn't permit.... Name is "Unknown" Status is
"Succeeded" and the "Resources" say: Firewall:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\Firewall\Policy\StandardProfile\GloballyOpenPorts\List\\2549:UDP
"Category" says "Not yet Classified" "Alert Level" is "Unknown"
Does anyone know what this might be and if it is a problem how to fix it....

These are ports that are being used by programs to communicated over the
Internet. I'm not sure if you got the alerts when the programs were
installed or during run-time. To address the issue of whether the programs
using these ports are ok, under WD click Tools and then click Software
Explorer and then select Network Connected Programs. Click each entry and
look at the ports being used (the programs must be active to see which ports
are being used). The reason you didn't get a chance to select Permit or Deny
was based on your WD options. Click Tools and then click Options. Under
Real-Time Protection, if you have unchecked the boxes "Choose if Windows
Defender should notify you about:" , you will not be prompted for a response
and the alert will show up under History.

Thanks for your reply....Checked "Network Connected Programs" and didn't see
anything that resembles the files listed in the History Lists, but as you
said it won't be there if program is not running.....I just got a little
excited to see the words "GloballyOpenPorts" in the file stream....Have
checked the boxes for notifcation as you suggested so I hope the next time
whatever program that is involved starts running, I will get a notification.

You are welcome. Usually you see a lot of port usage from messenger programs
and also the media players when playing radio stations.

Ok...will keep my eyes open...don't really use any messenger programs & very
seldom listen to radio on the Media Player but I hopefully I will get a
Permit or Deny message next time it runs....
