I am haaving issues installing some windows critical
updates, whenever i try to install the updates from
windows update i keep the updates fail to install.

I download the updates to my hard drive and tryy to
install it from their and i keep getting the message "you
do not have permission to update windows 2000" this is
however strange even though i have administrator rights to
my PC. I then have my LAN administrator try to install the
patches and he also get the same message.

Does anyone have a solution to this.

Note: My company has three locations and i logeed on to
one of the other site with the same user id but the domain
iis different and i am thinking that the group policy from
that siite may have conflicts with the group policy at my
home site may be cauusing this to happen.
