permissions with PRO and Home

I was wondering if you can set permissions on an XP pro computer and have XP home computers be able to log onto those shared folders. I have a small network and only one of the computers is XP pro and when I go to "locations" in the permissions section, the only location I see is the XP pro computer. Will I need to update all my computers to XP pro?

You can do what you want without updating the other computers. Create
user accounts on XP Pro with the same user names and passwords that
exist on XP Home. Then, assign permissions to those accounts on XP
Pro. When XP Home accesses XP Pro over the network, it will use those
