Permissions problem with FP2000 client

Keith

Hello,

I have a client that is trying to publish to a FP2002 server running
windows 2003 web edition. I am able to connect with my FP2002 client
software, and also with FP2003 client software.

The customer is trying to connect with FP2000 client software, to the
FP2002 server. The error message that he is getting is.

Error: this operation requires author permission for (ip/domain): 80

The user has Admin permissions setup, but still gets the error, and I do
not get this error.

Is there something in the users client that would not let the user connect?

Thanks,

Keith

Have them open the site in IE, then select File Menu | Edit with FP and see if they can open the
site that way and be prompted to login. If so, thereafter they should be able to open the site
directly in FP.

They can also try opening the site directly in FP via it IP address, but is all case they have to
enter http:// and may have to also include the www if they are currently not including it.
