Permissions - HELP!

Okay here's the deal. I've recently taken over maintenance on several
databases. The person (owner) who created these databases has left and not
able to be contacted. Problem I am running into is this. I have a database
that suddenly stopped working, it will not allow anyone to enter data using
the form. The only way they can enter data is directly into the table.
Whenever I go into this database to work on it I get a message stating the
following "You don't have permission to modify "Commitment Information Form -
To modoify this object, you must have Modify Design permission for it. If
the object is a table, you must also have Delete Data and Update Data
permissions for it. Do you want to open it as read-only?"

I have a good background in Access, however, I haven't worked alot on the
whole "Permission" peice of Access. I'm stuck, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

That database is corrupted. You can try the Repair option or try using
JetComp (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;273956) to
do a Comapct and Repair. If all else fails, you'll have to create a new
blank database and import all of the objects into it. That still may not
work, though... If not, hopefully you have a backup of the database from
before the problem started to revert to.
