permanently remove search and view bars

Even though I right click and select not to show the Search and View bars in
Windows Mail, within the next few times I open it up again, the bars are
there. How do I permanently remove these bars from showing, please?
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Mail version 6

Disable any antispyware and then make the changes. Those changes are set in
the registry and if they aren't "sticking" then something is preventing the
registry updates.
