Permanently disable capitalization of first letter of new sentence

I need to disable this feature for all documents. I don't want to do this each
time I create a new document. I've followed the instructions and I can disable
the feature for a new document. But it comes back (???) with the next new
document.

Microsoft Office Word 2003
 
Given that this is an Options setting, if it is not "sticking," then either
it is not being written to the Registry or you don't have permission to
write to the Registry.
