Should you periodically schedule a reboot on servers just
for maintenance? I've heard different opinions on this
subject. Please share yours with me. TIA.

I wouldn't. If you are using MS products then when you update the systems
with Critical Patches that should be enough reboots. There should no reason
to reboot a machine, I've rebooted machines and had them not come up simply
because of the reboot. Mind you these were caused by hardware failure that
was just waiting for a reboot to rear it's ugly head but there really
shouldn't be any reason to reboot unless you have some sort of memory leak
or some other issue. I just don't see a need for it. Any other opinions
guys?

I agree with Scott. If an issue crops up (mem leak or other issue) causing
you to regularly require a reboot then you need to get to the root cause.

Count me as another vote for "No Periodic Reboot".

Rebooting after critical updates is plenty, too much, in fact, IMHO. There
should be no reason why a properly configured system, serving something
(even if it's only diskspace) to clients, shouldn't be able to run
indefinitely without any trouble.
