Everytime I access Performance and Ratings Tools I get this issue:

The Desktop Window Manager is experiencing heavy resource contention.

Scenario : The Desktop Window Manager responsiveness has degraded.



My graphic card is an ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M

Hmm, I'm no expert in the area but is not that some kind of integrated
graphics card? One of the less powerful models I think. Is that the only
time you get that message or does it occur in other places/when doing
other things too? If not you might want to report it as a bug, otherwise
I'd say you've got a too weak graphics card for Vista.

The video card runs just fine under vista. I have the same card in my
GAteway laptop. Vista runs well. I think Amgokin's problem is related to
something else. He might try adding more page file, and/or shut off some of
the eye candy in favor of performance.

Like I stated, I also have the same card and I have never seen this problem.
But then again I have this laptop set up for performance (can't wait to
update the memory and replace this slow hard drive)
