Performance counter missing

I have a HP DL740 running Windows 2000 SP4 and the LogicalDisk Performance
Object is not available in Perfmon... I have run diskperf - y and set the
"Disable Performance Counter" to zero in
HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfDisk\Performance.
Anyone any ideas... BMC Patrol uses this counter to report on Logical disk
and as a consequence I am not getting reports on disk capacity etc.. any and
all help gratefully accepted.

You can Add/Remove them by regedit, but it's much easier to use exctrlst.exe
(Extensible Counter Listing Tool) from the resource kit to enable/ disable
the counters.

Dave,

I had already tried that to no avail.... checked 'perfdisk', refreshed,
start Perfmon no counter available and when I run exctrlst.exe again the
counter is unchecked... wierd.

Maybe the steps here will turn up something.
