still have performance problems in slow start up,crashing, pop ups, bugs
etc. "Error Guard" ? advises I have 249 problems which they can fix for
$29.99. can anyone advise ?

Get yourself a free copy of Adaware and run that.

Hi Bob,

Sounds like garbage installed on the system, including the "Error Guard"
splash. Use these *free* programs to clean the system:

Adaware www.lavasoft.de
Spybot www.safer-networking.org

This one can help you avoid these programs from being installed in the first
place:
