Problem with security

I am having an awful problem with this certain window popping up all the time
and not sure what to do. It says "Warning visiting this site may harm your
computer! This web site probably contains malicious software program, which
can cause damage to your computer or perform actions without your permission.
Your computer may be infected after visiting suchy web site. We recommend you
istall (or actibvate) antivirus security software. I do realize that visiting
this site can cause harm to my computer" and then i have to click either
"continue unprotected or Get security software. I always click "continue
Unprotected" because I already have an antivirus program. This just started
today. When I did click on "Get Security Software" It went right to a page
called Alpha Antivirus. I noticed it was somehow downloaded on my computer so
I uninstalled from my computer but I am still getting this widow popping up
even when I was trying to get here. Please someone help!!!!

You are likely already infested.

Here are my suggestions for a cleanup...

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan (separately) with the
following two applications (freeware versions are the ones to use for this):

SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/

MalwareBytes
http://www.malwarebytes.com/

After performing a full scan with one and then the other and removing
whatever they both find completely, you may uninstall these products,
if you wish.

Download and run the MSRT manually:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

Reboot.

Download/install this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

After installing, do the following:

Start button --> RUN --> type in:
"%ProgramFiles%\Windows Installer Clean Up\msizap.exe" g!
--> Click OK.
(The quotation marks and percentage signs and spacing should be exact.)

Reboot.

You may want to uninstall whatever you are using for AntiVirus and replace
it. May not. Here's my suggestion for you...

I'd suggest purchasing a two year home subscription for eSet NOD32 AntiVirus
(AntiVirus only) for home users at $59 and a run-resident full copy of
MalwareBytes for $25 and just letting those two do all your protection above
and beyond the Windows Firewall. They likely together take up less
resources than McAfee or Norton alone and - in my opinion - do a much more
thorough job at protecting you.

That's not to say that just geinng Avira (free) and installing the free
MalwareBytes and scanning with it once a week or so wouldn't work just fine
for most people - it should. But the $85 option I mention is a much more
'set it and forget it' method of protection - and a lot of people enjoy
that.
