perfect nav

hi - downloaded some software and it installed a default
search page for internet explorer. now if a page is not
found or times out then i go to perfectnav website and
get lots of infuriating popups. does anyone know how to
remove this annoyance?

you been hijacked. run spybot and update first and scan
on easy and immunize and in ie,tools,options,advanced,
uncheck both'enable install on demand', apply ......

Start Internet Explorer,
Click Tools->internet options
Select the programs tab
Click Reset Web Settings
Click the general tab
Restore your prefered home page.

Cole,
Uninstall kazaa then run KazaaBegone. Read the warnings about downloading
LSPFix before you run the program.

If that doesn't remove perfect nav, download, install, update and run
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items listed in red-others are
optional.)
Both programs should be updated after installation- before use.

If still infected, download HijackThis from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html and post a log to the
HijackThis/spyware forum at one of these sites.
