why does my computer keep losing sound plz i uninstall the
codec but when i go to hareware and it reinstalls it it
does it with errors sorry if i sound mad coz i am tyvm

Ann,

Did you upgrade to XP or have a clean install? You
mentioned a codec but I think you mean a driver. If you
upgraded then your driver might not be for XP. If this is
the case then go to the manufacturer website and download
new drivers.

The other possibility is that the PCI slot that the card
is plugged into has started to go faulty. If this is the
case the card will need to be moved into a new slot on the
Mother Board to test this... Good Luck!
