Peer to Peer access is denied

Doc

I have two w2k boxes with a local deskjet attached to
one. Everytime I restart the machine without the printer
is loses it's ability to print. when I click on the
printer in the printer folder is says, "UNABLE TO CONNECT,
ACCESS IS DENIED".

If I then go to Network Neighborhood and browse the PC
with the printer attached, it prompts me for a user name
and password. Once I enter that, the shared resources,
including the printer become available.

I'm fairly certain I have a security/rights issue, I'm
just not sure exactly what it is.

Thanks,
Doc

If you add a user account on the printer's machine that has the same
username and password as the user on the computer without the printer then
you should be ok.
- When you enter your credentials for a network resource they are only
valid for the current logon session.
- If your credentials match those of a user on the target machine, then
you won't be prompted for credentials
