I am trying to send a PDF (7 MB) via email; however, an error box displays
that the message being sent exceeds the message size established for this
user. I know there is a way to easily solve this other than editing the pdf
into 2 different files. Can anyone walk me through it?

Many thanks!

That's a pretty healthy size file to send via email. Your paraphrasing of
the message makes it difficult for me to tell if *you* can't send a file
that size or it's over the size of the *recipient's* mailbox.

Regardless of where the message comes from (in this case, I'm guessing it's
local, but you could equally well find out later that either your ISP or the
ISP of the recipient bars files above a certain size), you will need to
break your message up into smaller parts. How you do this will depend on
your mail client.

In Outlook Express, for example, you do this as follows:

1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2. On either the Mail or News tab, click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, select the Break apart messages larger than x KB
check box and then enter the maximum file size the server will allow.

You can find this in OE's Help file under "breaking up large messages."
