.pdf images don't show in browser

Instead of a .pdf image, the browser shows a blank space
with a tiny vertical rectangle with a colored square,
circle, and triangle inside it. Any ideas how to get
IE 6 to show these images?

Thanks,

Thanks for sticking with this problem which has remained
unsolved.

I found a suggestion from sometime back when this
occurred where the suggestion dealt with regedit, though
it came with a vague caution advisory. Sounded risky and
unclear as to what to do.

Thanks--I reinstalled Adobe Reader as suggested on that
site and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Open IE, and go to Tools, Internet Options, Security,
Custom Level, and Enable all ActiveX events except for
the ones not marked as safe. I just had this same
problem and it worked.

Thought his may not help. I recently installed the full version of Acrobat
on my PC and had some troubles getting the PDf files to shop up in the
browser properly afterwards. I fixed the problem by reassociating PDF Files
with Acrobat Reader. The full program takes forever to load just to read
pdfs anyway. So if that's your situation you might try that.
