pdf files

All of a sudden when I am on a site and click on a download
the pdf opens in WORD not in my Acrobat (Adobe) Reader...I
use netscape as my browser....

Go into Windows Explorer. In the menu bar, choose tools, folder options, and
the file types tab in the window that opens. Scroll down the extension
column until you see PDF and click it. Choose the change button and in the
window that opens, select adobe acrobat if it's listed there. If it's not,
select the browse button and locate the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat
6.0\Reader(or Acrobat if you have the full version) and select the
AcroRd32.exe file. If you're using full version instead of the reader
version, the file will be called acrobat.exe instead of acrord32.exe.

Ok...this might be my problem..when I opened the file types
tab..there wasn't any PDF listed there...*SCREAM*

Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe"

OK, no screamin' wendy. Choose the "new" button, type pdf in the window that
opens and choose ok. It SHOULD come up and say pdf is associated with MS
Word, do you want to un-associate. Choose YES and proceed.

Ok Buster...my head hurts and I am screaming..this is so
strange..until I downloaded a new AR..everything worked
fine.....when I typed in PDF under new..and it didnt say it
is associated with word....said nothing...then I went to
advanced..OMG..there are a hundred things there...I am
sorry to be so computer illiterate...why this all changed I
dont know.........do you have MSN..where you can walk me
thru it....???
