PDF files will not open

Using win2000pro. When I click on a link that is a pdf
file, the file is not downloaded and acrobat reader does
not open. All I see is a small icon in the upper left of
the browser and the status line says done. Thanks

Can you open a PDF file by double clicking on it in your file system?
Might want to reinstall/upgrade Acrobat reader.
