PDF file keeps duplicating

I changed a file to PDF format and everytime I try to delete the copy file
it duplicates itself multiple times.

How are you trying to delete the copy file?
How old are your hands? (I won't ask how old you are! I teach senior citizen computer classes and
I note that a lot of them have trouble holding the mouse securely. They tend to drag the icons when
they try to press the mouse key. This makes copies of the file when they let up on the mouse
button.)

Click file. Take hand off mouse.
Hit Delete key to send file to recycle bin.
Hit Shift-Delete key combination to delete file directly.
