pdf attachments - sending and receiving

My email account works perfectly until i try to send or receive pdf
attachments.
i can send and receive messages with jpgs etc no problem attached, but pdfs
just bounce back whether i am sending ortrying to receive.

Anybody have similar problems? Is my machine set up incorrectly somewhere?

I would really appreciate a response.

How can we tell if you didn't provide any information about how it is
configured right now?

Also you said that it bounced? In what way? Any error messages?

sorry i am not in any way a computer expert - that is why i am asking for
help! if you can maybe try to explain what sort of configuration information
you may need to help answer my question i will do my best to respond
correctly.

when i say 'bounce' - i mean the message will not send, the send/receive
exclamation mark appears saying the connection has been interrupted. This
happens repeatedly.

The message stays in the outbox. I have been sending my mail with pdf
attachments from other computers in the office with no problem at all, that
is why i feel there is something wrong with the way my machine may be set up.
(It is a fairly new machine, only a couple of months old).

Sorry if i sound like a complete thicko, but i hope this helps!
