PDC Failure

Incase of PDC(which is holding all FSMO roles) failure, how can we make the
addtional domain controller to act as a PDC.

Seize the FSMO roles:

Remove the data left in Active Directory:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216498

<<<make certain that you never bring that dead DC up again unless it's been
rebuilt from a clean formatted drive>>>

Then if it's not listed in these articles, make sure you clean out any old
records in DNS that point to the dead server.

That should cover the bases.
