I have a question. I have an IBM PCMCIA HDD Card for a pcmcia socket
installed on my desktop to transfer files on to the hard drive for my laptop.
Now when i plug the drive into my desktop it installs 100% correctly and
device manager shows the device working properly, however I can not figure
out how to access it. It is not listed under my computer, i went into disk
management, its not listed on there so i can assign a drive letter. Please
help me out on this. I have been search everywhere for an answer, but all i
can find is stuff on linux. Thank you for you time.

With what certainty do you know this drive to be in good order?

Has is ever worked with the current PC?

Do you need to install drivers?

If you place a PCMCIA ethernet card or modem card into the PCMCIA
slot, is that card recognized?

That’s not much help, but it may lead us to a solution.

I'm 100% sure the drive works. I use it from DOS all the time. I know the
drivers are in and working. Device manager shows "this device is working" I
just dont know how to access it. Thank you again
