Is it possible to have PCIExpress and AGP onthe same motherboard? I've
recently spent a lot of my hard earned on a top end AGP graphics card and
wouldn't want to sell it on for a huge loss just yet. However, i am looking
at the Socket 939 route and getting rid of my old ASUS A7N. Future proofing
would be the best way to go.

Anyone heard of anything in the pipeline?

I don't know of a motherboard that fully supports both. There are a few
that have PCIe and "AGP Express", which is really PCI in an AGP form
factor, having all the speed of AGP 0.5x.

You can go S939 and keep your high-end AGP card. I'd recommend getting
an nForce3 Ultra motherboard.

That is what I did, went with socket 939, but Nforce3 Ultra so I am not
making the jump to PCIe at this time. I figure I will let the dust settle on
PCIe before investing in it.
I just assembled a socket 930 Athlon 3500+ winchester core, on an MSI K8N
Neo2 Platinum, and so far am very happy with it. However, I do not mind
upgrading, and will upgrade to an Nforce4 PCIe mb within about a year most
likely...

Where did you buy your K8N Neo2 board? They seem to be disappearing from
the pipeline, they have been out of stock at Newegg for several weeks and
now they have dropped off of the MonarchComputer site.
