PCI USB 2.0 in XP SP2

Hello,

I am running windows XP - Service Pack 2. I just rebuilt my machine.
I have an OrangeMicro (NEC Chipset) 4 + 1 port USB 2.0 PCI card.
However, my machine doesn't recognize it as a USB 2.0 card. I can't
get the drivers from OrangeMicro as they went out of business a while
ago.

After doing some research, I found that Windows XP with SP2 should
natively support a PCI USB 2.0 card. I can't get it to work....

I also searched driverguide.com and none of the drivers i tried worked.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated...

All the best,

Try it in another machine, if it still doesn't work then throw it away.
There is likely a good reason they went out of business. It's unfortunate to
add to the pile of waste but a new card is very cheap so how long can you
spend on it?

|The chipset (BIOS) must support USB 2.0/

My PC is pre USB2, never updated BIOS, & my PCI USB2
card works but must have PCI card manufacturer's
drivers, NOT MS 1's.

But I cant use USB kboard or mouse when in BIOS or DOS

Just my 2¢ worth. Larry.

Any advise is my attempt to contribute more than I have received but I can only assure you that it works on my PC. GOOD LUCK.
