PCI to ISA bridge

I would like to have further information about EPROM for PCI-to-ISA
bridge, 'cause I've got to switch an ISA card to PCI connector.
I found Winbond (W83628F & W83629D) and ITE (IT8888F) kits for this
purpose, I read their datasheets as their tentative schematics
pusblished also on costronic.com site as I read "PCI System
Architecture" as "ISA System Architecture" books.
My doubt was the EPROM used for both solutions. I've got some ideas
about the EPROM: it's expansion ROM for positive decode for ISA side
of PCI-ISA chips; I also downloaded some Assembler code for a general
purpose expansion ROM for the same. I understood that Rumtime Code is
(or should be) permantly present in memory after boot.
What runtime code should I write inside the EPROM? Does anybody
encountered the same problem and found a solution?

If its just that you want to run ISA card(s) in newer motherboards which
only have PCI slots, it would be much simpler (at least in the short term)
to just use some of the "specialist" motherboards out there that have ISA
slots still in them. I know that Soyo did one for P4 CPUs based on the 845
chipset - they may even have newer versions now. Also if you search for
"industrial" motherboards, there are manufacturers who have such products
but these are generally very expensive.

Conexant "internal" modem chipsets these days are designed for use with PCI
slots however Mainpine ( http://www.mainpine.com ) have developed their own
bridge circuitry to be able to use the latest Conexant ACF series chipset
within a PCI card. Perhaps they may be able to assist by selling you a ready
made solution to your needs? Are your needs related to telephony hardware or
modems?

I had this problem 'cause I have to use a custom PC and it's
impossible to change the motherboard.

You'd be able to change the motherboard (under the worst circumstances) if
you change the case. It does mean additional expense however. The problem
with older motherboards (eg from eBay) is that they likely support older
CPUs and not the latest and greatest. What are your full system
specs/hardware and why are you interested in a PCI to ISA bridge - is it as

No.It's related to an industrial PC of Siemens and I don't know if
it's possible to change the motherboard, but I suspect not.

I build a PCI to ISA bridge (IT8888F) card.
I used circuit in the costronic.com site.
windows xp detected my card and installed on windows,
but windows not detctetd ISA card. I test with sound card and VGA card.
my motherboard is GA-8I945PLGE-RH with intel 945 chipset.
Please help me.
