Pci express ?

I am trying to upgrade my graphics card and I see a ton of PCI Express. I
checked my manual for my motherboard and it say I have PCI 2.2. I can't seem
to find out if they are compatible or not. Please advise.

Three PCI 2.2 32-bit PCI bus slots (support 3.3V/5V PCI bus interface).
