Does this error message sound like a WIndows Error or Driver Error:

"Severe:
Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to set up ypur display
with standard VGA Driver before running setup."

I am trying to install drivers for 3dConnect x800xl on a ASROCK 939 Dual
SATAII board. I have cleaned the drivers out, but still get this message
with the ATI drivers or with the version from 3DConnect.

Anyone?

I also had severe problems when I had a bad stick of mem that was
corrupting everything. I found it with memtest86.

Are you OCing your card? Theres threads about how the Connect can be
massively OCed and bios flashed to a higher model at some sites.
That might be causing a problem.

You might want to check the ATI video newsgroup jsut to check if there
is a buzz about that card and the drivers.

The error is telling you that someone cleaned out all the video drivers...
Your card depends on the original VGA driver to be installed.

Let Windows install a default video driver for your card, reboot, then try
to install the new drivers.

If that doesn't work, do a manual install an pick a generic VGA driver, then
reboot and try installing the new drivers.
