Everytime I start my pc the StartUp Options screen shows up. I tried
everything or shall I say every option from safe mode to start windows
normally and the result is the same : PC boots up and shows StartUp Options
screen
what can I do??
thanks

It is called the Boot Menu.

Do you have a dual boot?

Do you want to keep the other operating system?

Edit the boot.ini so that the timeout=0

Did you upgrade to XP from an earlier version of Windows?

You need to edit your boot.ini

See if this helps...

I have two installations of XP on the same partition, how do I remove the
one I don't need?

This is probably a bit too obvious, but have you got a boot disk/cd or
rescue disk in one of your drives? And order set in bios to boot from one
of the drives before booting from C??

:o)

No I dont dual boot.. PC was working fine and then out of the blue the Boot
menu came up when I restarted

well i checked the cd drives and floppy to see if i have left anything in
there and nothing... like i said everything was fine... then when I rebooted
the Startup Options screen came up.. First I tried "Last known good
cnfiguration..." then it took me back to the Options screen again.. then I
tried "Boot windows normally" and same thing.. everthing I tried it would
bring me back to the startup options screen
