Hi all,

I have a problem at the moment whereas i have a machine that won't boot past the "checking NVRAM" post. The spec is as follows...

It's an "Advent (i know, sorry) 3104"...

Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 Motherboard
Kingston KVR133X64C3/128 SDRAM
AMD Athlon A1000AMT3B
IDE Toshiba DVDROM Drive
IDE Floppy Disk Drive
Seagate U Series 20GB IDE Hard Drive
3D Power TNT2 M64 32MB Graphics Card
Creative Labs CT4810 ound Card
Unbranded Modem IF56ACL/UK

I have tried several things including...

Tried a new PSU
Removed all the cards excluding the Graphics card
Disconnected the Hard Drive, DVD-ROM, and the Floppy Disk Drive
Tried swapping the RAM and also changed the slot it was in
I have tried reseting the BIOS with the jumper settings

Any Help would be much appreciated...

Thanks

Right i got round this one. I completed took the machine apart and rebuilt it. All i can think of was something had a dodgy connection? There was quite a lot of dust in the machine too and the processor needed some more thermal compound applying to it. Anyway, not 100% sure what the exact problem was but i have sorted it now.

Thanks
