Aaargh! I can import and create a video clip from my Sony
PC 100E via firewire PC Card but when I try to send it
back complete to DV, it won't record. The camera acts as
if it does (timer, whirring of tape etc) but nothing is
recorded. I can, however, record stuff when I'm connected
to the internet?? What's that all about? Help
appreciated!!

If the E on your model means Europe, it might have the DV in feature. Try
saving a clip to your hard drive and then exporting it to the camcorder
using the WinDV utility - there's a link to it on the Camcorders... General

Hi there,

My DV camera is the Canon MV500i and its the i that means it can do DV in
as well as out, the MV500 (same price as the MV500i would you believe) only
has DV out. I just assumed that the "i" meant "in"

The DCR PC100E has DV-in so you shouldn't have a problem. I have a DCR
PC120E which should be pretty similar, but I can't remember if you have to
enable the DV-in through the camera menu. I can't check it now, I'm at work
and the camera's at home.
