I have recently bought this computer and subscribed to DSL It has been pretty fast this far, until this morning. I seems to have slowed down to regular dial up speed. Can anyone tell me why and help me fix it
Some ISPs will force your connection to a reduced data rate if and when you exceed the monthly allowance for which you have subscribed.
Thus if you chose 512Kbps connection and say 1Gb download: and have now got to 1.2Gb download; rather than getting a huge bill for your exceesive you, they give you continued access at 64Kbs at no increased charge.
Just check with your ISP and see if this is in fact the case.
