You are losing the blue signal. Look for a bad connection on the cable. Try a different monitor or try the monitor on another PC to determine if the problem is the monitor or the video card.
The monitor may be receeding from you at near-light speed, or your
brain forgot what blue looks like. Those are much more reasonable
explanations than a break in the cable at the card connection or where
it meets the monitor case.
