Hello,
I got a new intel pc with windows xp and some applications (also all current
windows updates).
But since the first day the pc restarts from time to time. It's not
reproducable and it's no regularity.
There are enough free ressources because it's used as office pc.
The microsoft link after rebooting was
http://oca.microsoft.com/de/response.aspx?SGD=507fdf81-efd6-47ac-8e47-ef1ea524fe25&SID=10
which means some correlation with hardware drivers, but no detailes
information.
There is a printer connected to the pc and an isdn card and tv card in it.

I saw some warnings in the eventlogs (concerning tcp/ip and redirector
service) which you can download at www.fotosgucken.de/eventlog.zip

If you have any idea please feel free to post it here.

If you need further information please tell me which one.

Many thanks
Thorsten

That sounds very much like a hardware problem, not a Windows one. I'd
suspect RAM, overheating, or power supply problems. Or perhaps flaky power
at the wall outlet (if that's the case, a UPS often fixes it).

At any rate, you are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot
whenever that happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On
the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System
failure, uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get the
blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those details for
more help.
