PC reboots

Computer is continually rebooting when windows 2000
starts up. When it gets to "applying computer settings"
the PC reboots every time. Has anyone seen this before?
Any fixes?

Not sure if this is server or pro, or if this is in a workgroup or domain,
but if domain are you able to logon to the local machine instead of domain
ok. If so, can you drop to workgroup, rejoin domain, and see same problem.
Can you logon ok in safe mode?
If you can get logged on one of these ways, what events are in the logs that
point to problems
