the dat file is a database for your alura spyware. But what kind of data it
may be is not known to me. Could be a database of filenames that it has
checked out. Could be a database of the virus's it checks for. The error you
get from your defrag is odd. But you could delete that file, run the defrag
and run the spyware. If everything turns out ok, then good. If not, then
undelete the file and research it from the alura's website... maybe there is
an update or a fix....
There is some great info on there, but none of the those solutions
worked. I'm hoping there is something more direct, more of a brute
force" way of telling the computer to really shut down, maybe in the
BIOS, but I can't find it myself.
