PC keeps rebooting

Is anyone familure with the following situation;
I have never come across this before. I have a compaq desktop computer
running XP Media Edition. When it boots up it will load all the way to the
windows screen just before the control+alt+delete and then reboot!
I have turned off the auto restart and I get a blue screen with the
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error message.
What I don't understand is how I can still get into safe mode and navigate
around by the task manager. I can't see the desktop at all but I can go tot
run task and get into all of my fills and run my programs.
This seems like it should be an easy fix but I am not able to figure it out.
If anyone has ever been through this please let me know what you did to
solve the problem:)

Thanks

Page_Fault deals with memory,virtual memory & ram memory.Youre exact
error is mostly due to virtual, open system properties, advanced, virtual
memory,
change button, set C: to "let system manage" click set 2X,close out, restart
pc.
This taken into consideration that youre ram memory is sufficient.

What is the rest of the bugcheck error message? Does the message
include a file name?

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error messages are most often caused by
faulty or bad drivers. Try using the msconfig tool and disable all
non-Microsoft services and see if you can then boot the computer normally.
