PC keeps finding new hardware (printer)

I'm using windows XP. Everytime I turn the computer on it
keeps finding new hardware - my hp deskjet 845 printer. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no
luck. The printer has no problem printing even with this
coming up in the task bar continuously. Thanks in advance
for any help.
